My Services

Below's a quick summary of what I can do.  If you have a query regarding anything, please use the contact form. Cheers.

Scenography - Production Design

Set, Lights, Costume, Sound, Visual Multimedia. I'd liase with the director, discuss their "vision" and present to them various designs within the constraints of the production.  I'd need the script and the proposed venue for at least two weeks prior to the first production meeting in order to accumulate my own research and preperation.

Set, Props & Costume Construction

I've a steady hand when it comes to a sewing machine and a paintbrush!

Workshop Facilitation - Dance

I've experience in teaching dance to youths and adults.  I've specialised in Contemporary Dance but I'm also available to teach Hip-Hop and Musical Theatre/ Jazz. I can teach Ballet for beginners as well as good warm up techniques and Pilates for core strength.

Workshop Facilitation - Drama

For Youths, my drama workshops consist of plenty of warm up games, that are high in energy.  Also concentration and focus exercises to aid stamina in the brain.  Improvisation usually goes down really well, with plenty of topics to work on and discuss afterwards such as bullying, racism, littering, road safety or any particular subject that needs to be addressed.  Children learn alot through playing and discussion.  I have a selection of monologues and scripts for young actors and can also facilitate an introduction to clowning.

For adults, again warm up games.  Improvisation techniques.  Interpreting scripts and characters through actions, subtext and objectives.  Clowning and Physical Theatre. Introduction to Directing.  Vocal and warm up techniques.  Characterisation and Embodiment.  Devising.

Directing

Title says it all.  For a one act performance (30 - 50 minutes) with part time rehearsals (6-8 hours per week) I'd need 6 weeks rehearsals, including production week (5 rehearsal, 1 tech dress and run).  Full time, cut that in half but auditions must be cast well in advance of rehearsals - to give the actors time to familiarise themselves with the script.  It is extremely difficult to work with actors who are not off book.  I like to work closely with a stage manager, good ones are worth their weight in gold!

Public Speaking - Debates & Presentation Skills

It's a well known fact that when at a debate, it's not exactly what's in your speech that wins the vote, but how you deliver it.  I was a member the debating team in school, and in 2004 our team won the Intel/ Liffey Champion Debating Competition, I was awarded best speaker at the final for that competition.  Through coaching, vocal techniques, and learning the art of persuasion, your team could be on the way to victory.

Arts Administration and Promotion

Having experience in production, budgets and the tablework end of things, I am capable of producing and marketing a production.

Stage Management

Arranging call sheets, schedules, filling in the prompt script, being a live notebook for the director amongst other stage managerly duties, it's a role that I actually quite enjoy.

Academics - PLC Courses

Holding an honours degree, I am qualified to teach any qualification lower, more specifically P.L.C. (FETAC, BTEC) I've a high interest in theatre theory and discussion/ seminars and I can prepare your students for what is expected of them academically, when they move on to Univeristy level.  All of the above listed can also apply to teaching in P.L.C's.

Actor / Performer!

My first love! Children's Theatre and Musicals would be my strong point.  I also dabble in a bit of singing. Or if you're having a public family day and you need someone colourful to keep the tots busy, myself and my gang of mates are all experienced and have been Garda Vetted.  We can do facepainting too!
